Emiho Foundation is a local NGO that has been set up to support the works and ministry of Franciscan families and church activities
The NGO has been in operation since 2018 but has been officially registered in 2025
We strive to facilitate change, not only by meeting material needs, but also in particular by creating opportunities for children to utilise their talents in a wide-spaced development process and take charge of their own lives and communities. We also strive to approach people with openness and respect, regardless of religion, ethnicity, caste, gender, disability or other minority status.
The first step towards achieving success is often the most difficult, but it will be worth all of your efforts in due course. A well-executed branding strategy can make or break a business because people are constantly looking for trusted brands they know provide quality services and products at competitive prices.
Helping both local and international brands launch new products and promotion through a variety of media channels is a central aspect of our day-to-day activity
We pledge foremost to be dependent on God and the leading of the Holy Spirit in all matters of life and ministry
We pledge to work collaboratively to advance the assignment of the windows of U.S. Missions and its ministries.
We pledge to conduct ourselves in such a way as to create trust in our team’s competency and character, giving the benefit of the doubt as the first step in all interactions
We pledge to pursue our assignment with humility, expressing compassion, honor, and respect
We pledge to advance transparent communication, establishing systems and relationships that strengthen the common good
Providing quality education to children in marginalized communities is our flagship program. We work hard to ensure education is accessible to children ages 3-5 for Early Childhood Development (ECD), ages 6-12 at the Primary level, 13-18 years in High School, and above for vocational/college/University through sponsorship.
Formal education aside, we also focus on Life Skills-Based Education, especially for the youth/adolescents. This is implemented with the aim of enabling them to establish their emotional and psychological independence, as well as helping them understand and manage their sexuality while paving the way to fight for their space in society. Adolescence is a complex yet fascinating phase of life characterized by vigor, valor, and vitality, and hence requires guidance and direction to make healthy and informed choices. Therefore, the values and skills that we transmit to our beneficiaries during this time are deliberately crafted to critically shape and positively impact their lives as well as the future of society in the immediate and long term.
Ending hunger and malnutrition is among the greatest challenges humanity faces. As per the United Nations Committee on World Food Security, a person is considered “food secure” when they have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.
Our partnership model is an effective approach that leverages the strengths of each partner, while maintaining collaboration and transparency. Through a grassroots approach, our development programs are implemented in consultation with the local/beneficiary community to identify the needs they want to address, utilizing their existing resources, knowledge, skills and materials.
We seek to build local capacity by empowering beneficiaries to become responsible for their own development so as to ensure sustainable impact from our interventions.
Before 2019, my parents struggled a lot to provide basic needs for I and my brothers. We missed school a lot, had bad grades, and eventually we all had to drop out and start attending a public school. EMIHO Foundation scholarship gave me the opportunity to have high-quality education, as well as all round development.

I was on the verge of being withdrawn from school, and after my mother lost her job, my parents struggled with paying school fees for all four of their children. So receiving this leadership scholarship program was a huge relief. I now have the opportunity to attend and excel in the school of my dreams. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to David Oyelowo and the GEANCO Foundation.
Before I became a scholarship recipient, my parents found it difficult to keep up with paying my school fees every term. Now, they can focus on my younger sibilings. Most importantly, this program has helped me self-develop while ensuring I receive the best education possible..
